AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The sum of $250,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for costs associated with the Children’s Environmental Health Officer Act.

    Section 10.  The sum of $500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois for costs associated with the creation of a State Health Policy Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago for the purpose of developing and implementing evidence-based policies to improve the health and healthcare of the people of Illinois.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.
