SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $820,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for a $200 grant to every public school in this State to be used for the purpose of purchasing an information system to allow schools to handle test data to best meet their needs and make better decisions for student achievement. Effective July 1, 2008.

    AN ACT making appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The amount of $820,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for a $200 grant to every public school in this State to be used for the purpose of purchasing an information system that is able to load multiple types of assessment data and has the capability to provide longitudinal results by individual student record for a minimum of 5 years to allow schools to handle test data to best meet their needs and make better decisions for student achievement.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.
