2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4159, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
3 | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. | ||||||
4 | 1, as follows:

5 | on page 8, by replacing lines 8 through 26 with the following: | ||||||
6 | " (e-5) Each school district shall periodically review its | ||||||
7 | procedures on solid waste reduction regarding the management of | ||||||
8 | solid waste generated by academic, administrative, and other | ||||||
9 | institutional functions. Those waste reduction procedures must | ||||||
10 | be designed to, when economically and practicable feasible, | ||||||
11 | recycle the school district's waste stream, including without | ||||||
12 | limitation landscape waste, computer paper, and white office | ||||||
13 | paper. School districts are encouraged to have procedures that | ||||||
14 | provide for the investigation of potential markets for other | ||||||
15 | recyclable materials that are present in the school district's | ||||||
16 | waste stream. The waste reduction procedures must be designed | ||||||
17 | to achieve, before July 1, 2020, at least a 50% reduction in |
