SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $250,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for a grant to a county with a population over 750,000 but less than 1,250,000 that coordinates a program that provides specialty health care services, pharmaceutical drug assistance, and diagnostic testing for individuals who are not eligible for medical assistance under the Illinois Public Aid Code and who do not have other health insurance coverage.  Effective July 1, 2007.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  The sum of $250,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for a grant to a county with a population over 750,000 but less than 1,250,000 that coordinates a program that provides specialty health care services, pharmaceutical drug assistance, and diagnostic testing for individuals who are not eligible for medical assistance under the Illinois Public Aid Code and who do not have other health insurance coverage.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
