| AN ACT concerning government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 10-10 as follows:
|

| (5 ILCS 430/10-10)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 10-10. Gift ban. Except as otherwise provided in this
|
| 8 |
| this Article, no
officer, member, or
State employee
shall |
| 9 |
| intentionally solicit or accept any gift from any prohibited
|
| 10 |
| source or in violation of any federal or State statute, rule, |
| 11 |
| or regulation.
This ban applies to
and includes the spouse of |
| 12 |
| and immediate
family living with the officer, member, or State |
| 13 |
| employee.
No prohibited source shall intentionally offer or |
| 14 |
| make a gift that violates
this Section.
