Amends the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act. Provides that, subject to appropriation, the Department of Children and Family Services shall implement a project in 3 separate geographical areas of the State for the operation of 3 CILA homes for adolescents diagnosed with autism. Requires that a single service provider operate all 3 homes and have on its staff a behavior therapist. Effective July 1, 2007.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Community-Integrated Living Arrangements |

| Licensure and
Certification Act is amended by adding Section 12 |
6 |
| as follows: |

| Sec. 12. CILAs for adolescents diagnosed with autism. |
9 |
| (a) Subject to appropriation, the Department of Children |
10 |
| and Family Services shall implement a project for the operation |
11 |
| of 3 community-integrated living arrangement homes for |
12 |
| adolescents who have been diagnosed with autism and who are at |
13 |
| least 13 years of age and not more than 18 years of age. The |
14 |
| homes shall be located in 3 separate geographical areas of the |
15 |
| State. The homes shall operate 7 days per week and shall be |
16 |
| staffed 24 hours per day. The homes shall feature maximum |
17 |
| family involvement based on a service and support agreement |
18 |
| signed by the adolescent's family and the provider. A single |
19 |
| service provider shall operate all 3 homes. |

| (b) The service provider must have on its staff a behavior |
21 |
| therapist who shall serve as a resource for all 3 homes. The |
22 |
| provider shall ensure that the staff at each home receives |
23 |
| appropriate training in matters that include, but need not be |
