Appropriates $10,000,000 to the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, to fund services for 2260 substance abusing offenders. Effective July 1, 2007.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $10,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, to fund services for 2260 substance abusing offenders, including:
(1) abuse treatment provided by organizations licensed by the Department of Human Services to do so; and
(2) screening, assessment and case management performed by the program designated by the State under Section 40-5 of the Alcoholism and Other Drug Abuse and Dependency Act; and
(3) other recovery support services.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
