| page. The Department must make the information contained in the |

| Statewide Sex Offender Database searchable via a mapping system |

| which identifies registered sex offenders living within 5 miles |
5 |
| of an identified address. The Department of State Police must |
6 |
| update that information as it deems
necessary.

| The Department of State Police may require that a person |
8 |
| who seeks access to
the sex
offender information submit |
9 |
| biographical information about himself or
herself before
|
10 |
| permitting access to the sex offender information. The |
11 |
| Department of State Police must promulgate rules
in accordance |
12 |
| with the Illinois Administrative Procedure
Act to implement |
13 |
| this
subsection
(b)
and those rules must include procedures to |
14 |
| ensure that the information in the
database is accurate.

| The Department of State Police shall provide on its Sex |
16 |
| Offender Information web page a form that allows a person who |
17 |
| seeks access to sex offender information to be notified by |
18 |
| e-mail when a sex offender changes residence, employment, or |
19 |
| school attendance to a location within a particular zip code or |
20 |
| within a specified distance from an address, school, |
21 |
| playground, or other area designated by the person. The |
22 |
| Department of State Police shall provide such information by |
23 |
| e-mail notification to a person who completes the form. The |
24 |
| Director of State Police shall implement this amendatory Act of |
25 |
| the 95th General Assembly by rule.
