1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1030

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1030 by replacing | ||||||
3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section | ||||||
5 | 2-3.142 as follows: | ||||||
6 | (105 ILCS 5/2-3.142 new)
| ||||||
7 | Sec. 2-3.142. Special education expenditure and receipt | ||||||
8 | report. The State Board of Education shall issue an annual | ||||||
9 | report to the General Assembly and Governor identifying each | ||||||
10 | school district's special education expenditures; receipts | ||||||
11 | received from State, federal, and local sources; and net | ||||||
12 | special education expenditures over receipts received, if | ||||||
13 | applicable. Expenditures and receipts shall be calculated in a | ||||||
14 | manner specified by the State Board using data obtained from | ||||||
15 | the Annual Financial Report, the Funding and Child Tracking | ||||||
16 | System, and district enrollment information. This report must |

1 | be issued on or before May 1, 2008 and on or before each May 1 | ||||||
2 | thereafter.

3 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, | ||||||
4 | 2007.".
