| AN ACT concerning education.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Educational Partnership Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 5.5 as follows:
|

| (110 ILCS 40/5.5 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 5.5. Tutorial services by pre-service teacher |
| 8 |
| candidates. Public and private institutions of higher |
| 9 |
| education that have approved teacher education programs may |
| 10 |
| engage pre-service teacher candidates in the tutorial services |
| 11 |
| provided for in this Act. Students furnishing tutorial services |
| 12 |
| under this Section may receive compensation for such services |
| 13 |
| while also receiving academic or clinical experience credit or |
| 14 |
| both.

| 15 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 16 |
| becoming law.
