Statutes Amended In Order of Appearance
520 ILCS 5/3.2from Ch. 61, par. 3.2

Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that, if a person is currently serving on active-duty in the U.S. Armed Forces or Reserves and has a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card, or the equivalent from another state, then there is no fee for a hunting license. Requires verification of active-duty service.

520 ILCS 5/3.1from Ch. 61, par. 3.1

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that any person on active duty with the Armed Forces of the United States who is now and who was at the time of entering the Armed Forces a resident of Illinois and who entered the Armed Forces from this State, and who is presently on leave (instead of "ordinary leave") from the Armed Forces may hunt certain species without procuring a hunting license.

Adds reference to:
515 ILCS 5/20-45from Ch. 56, par. 20-45

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code. Permits an Illinois resident who entered the U.S. Armed Forces from Illinois as an Illinois resident, and who is on leave from Armed Forces active duty, to fish in accordance with the Code without a license. Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that any person on active duty with the Armed Forces of the United States who is now and who was at the time of entering the Armed Forces a resident of Illinois and who entered the Armed Forces from this State, and who is presently on leave (instead of "ordinary leave") from the Armed Forces may hunt certain species without procuring a hunting license.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.
