Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Changes the requirements for a foreign importer's license and a non-resident dealer's license to require that the foreign importer or non-resident dealer comply with certain provisions of the Act to the same extent that these provisions apply to manufacturers. Effective immediately.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
235 ILCS 5/8-2from Ch. 43, par. 159

Adds language that provides that a manufacturer or importing distributor that is a prior continuous compliance taxpayer under specified provisions and becomes a successor as the result of an acquisition, merger, or consolidation of a manufacturer or importing distributor shall be deemed to be a prior continuous compliance taxpayer with respect to the acquired, merged, or consolidated entity.
