Amends the Children with Disabilities Article of the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning definitions.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2

	Deletes reference to:
	105 ILCS 5/14-1.01

	Adds reference to:
	105 ILCS 5/3-11	from Ch. 122, par. 3-11

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code. Beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, requires teachers' institutes to include instruction on prevalent student chronic health conditions.

Governor Amendatory Veto Message
Recommends that the School Code be further amended to require that the State Board of Education, in conjunction with the Department of Public Health, develop and make available to each school board guidelines for the management of students with life-threatening food allergies. Recommends that each school board be required to implement a policy based on these guidelines no later than January 1, 2010.
