Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning notice of an election on a petition to transfer territory.

65 ILCS 5/8-3-14from Ch. 24, par. 8-3-14

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that, in the City of East Peoria and in the Village of Morton, the rate of the municipal hotel operator's tax may not exceed 6% (instead of 5%) of gross rental receipts. Effective immediately.
