Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Removes the requirement that an applicant for initial renewal of a visiting professor permit successfully pass a general competency examination. Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Restores the requirement that an applicant for initial renewal of a visiting professor permit successfully pass a general competency examination, but exempts from the requirement a visiting professor who was issued an initial visiting professor permit on or after January 1, 2007, but prior to July 1, 2007.
