Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Fire Protection District Act. Provides that a fire protection district may enforce building code ordinances in unincorporated areas of a county, but only with the express approval of the county board.

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code and the Municipal Code. Provides that once a building permit is issued, the applicable building codes of any unit of local government that are in effect at the time of the issuance of the permit shall be the only building codes that apply for the duration of the building permit.
