Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Chicago school district.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
105 ILCS 5/34-2.3a
Adds reference to:
105 ILCS 5/2-3.142 new

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code. Requires the State Board of Education to create a program in public schools where at least 40% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches whereby fees charged by the College Board for Advanced Placement exams are waived by the school, but paid for by the State, for those students who do not qualify for a fee waiver provided by federal funds or the College Board.

105 ILCS 302/25 new

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the College and Career Success for All Students Act. Subject to appropriation, requires the State Board of Education to create, under the College and Career Success for All Students program, a program in public schools where at least 40% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches whereby fees charged by the College Board for Advanced Placement exams are waived by the school, but paid for by the State, for those students who do not qualify for a fee waiver provided by federal funds or the College Board. Effective immediately.
