Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a salvage certificate may be assigned to any municipal fire department (as well as to any licensed rebuilder, automotive parts recycler, scrap processor, or out-of-state salvage vehicle buyer).

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a salvage certificate for a vehicle that has come from a police impoundment may be assigned to a municipal fire department.
