Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Airport Authorities Act. Creates the Greater Metropolitan Airport Authority. Provides that the territory of the Authority shall be coterminous with the boundaries of Peoria County. Provides that the existing airport authority located within Peoria County is dissolved, and the Greater Metropolitan Airport Authority shall assume the rights to all property, assets, and liabilities of the dissolved authority. Provides for the appointment of the board members of the Greater Metropolitan Airport Authority.

House Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
70 ILCS 5/2.7.2 new

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with changes. Further amends the Airport Authorities Act to create the Crawford County Airport Authority. Provides that the territory of the Authority shall be coterminous with the boundaries of Crawford County. Provides that the existing airport authority located within Crawford County is dissolved, and the Crawford County Airport Authority shall assume the rights to all property, assets, and liabilities of the dissolved authority. Provides for the appointment of the board members of the Crawford County Airport Authority.
