Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Sick Leave Bank Act. Permits a participating employee to use time contributed by his or her spouse who is employed by a different State agency, if the spouse has so earmarked the contributed time. Provides that if a spouse's contributed time is used, it may be used for the catastrophic illness or injury of the user's minor children.

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Circuit Courts Act. Creates an additional Kendall County resident judgeship in the 16th judicial circuit (Kane, Kendall, and DeKalb counties), to be elected first in 2008. Authorizes the Illinois Supreme Court to fill the judgeship by appointment until then. Specifies that the judgeship is not a subcircuit judgeship. Also, creates an additional Grundy County resident judgeship in the 13th judicial circuit (Bureau, LaSalle, and Grundy counties), to be elected first in 2008. Authorizes the Illinois Supreme Court to fill the judgeship by appointment until then. Effective immediately.
