Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act. Requires the Department of Natural Resources to evaluate the adequacy of the levee system in the State and, if it finds the levee system to be insufficient, to calculate the cost of repairing the levee system. Requires the Department to report its findings to the Governor and the General Assembly no later than March 1, 2009. Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Makes the bill's amendatory provisions subject to appropriation.
