Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Provides that when calculating the State reimbursement for transportation costs, the State Board of Education may not deduct the number of pupils enrolled in early education programs from the number of pupils eligible for reimbursement if the pupils enrolled in the early education programs are transported at the same time as other eligible pupils.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides that the State Board of Education may also not deduct the number of pupils enrolled in summer school from the number of pupils eligible for reimbursement if the pupils enrolled in summer school are transported at the same time as other eligible pupils.

House Amendment No. 2
Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.
