Synopsis As Introduced
Appropriates $2 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for its FY08 ordinary and contingent expenses. Effective July 1, 2007.

House Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Makes FY09 appropriations to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Effective July 1, 2008.

House Amendment No. 4
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Makes an appropriation from the Digital Divide Elimination Infrastructure Fund for transfer into the FY 09 Budget Relief Fund. Makes appropriations from the FY 09 Budget Relief Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the Department of Healthcare and Family Services for specified purposes. Makes appropriations to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in addition to any other appropriations in FY09 for the stated purposes. Amends Public Act 95-732 and Public Act 95-733 by changing various line items. Makes an appropriation from the Tobacco Settlement Recovery Fund to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services for one-time catastrophic relief payments to Illinois-based hospitals meeting specified criteria. Effective immediately.
