Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Allows a physician to delegate the operation of an intense pulsed light system for the purpose of epilation, photorejuvenation, or other non-medical cosmetic procedures to a physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, registered nurse, or other personnel. Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides for the delegation by a physician of the operation of a laser, in addition to that of an intense pulsed light system, for the purpose of epilation, photorejuvenation, or other non-medical cosmetic procedures. Adds electrologists to the list of personnel to which the delegation of the operation of an intense pulsed light system or a laser may be made.
