Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a governmental agency in any county with a population greater than 75,000 or in a municipality in one of those counties (as well as in specifically designated counties and municipalities within those counties) may establish an automated traffic law enforcement system that produces a recorded image of a motor vehicle's response to a traffic control signal and is designed to obtain a clear recorded image of the vehicle and the vehicle's license plate. Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Deletes the amendatory language. Provides that, in addition to the previously designated counties, 7 other specifically designated counties, and the municipalities within those counties, may establish a system.
