Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Illegally Logged Wood Act. Defines "illegally logged wood". Prohibits the importation of illegally logged wood into the State and the sale of illegally logged wood in the State. Provides that violation of the Act is a petty offense with a fine of $1,000.

House Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the substantive provisions of the bill with changes. Defines "wood". Provides that "illegally logged wood" means any wood harvested, transported, bought, or sold in violation of laws of the nation or state of the wood's origin. Prohibits the offering for sale of illegally logged wood in this State.
