Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law. With respect to delegation of duties, changes "county and multiple county boards of health" to "local health authorities". Provides that nothing precludes a local health authority from exercising authority granted by statute or ordinance absent a delegation from the Department. Makes other changes.

House Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with changes. Replaces "local health authority" with "certified local health department" throughout the bill. Provides for delegation of duties "and powers". Deletes a provision that nothing precludes certified local health departments from exercising the authority and responsibility granted by statute or ordinance absent delegation from the department.
