Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Environmental Protection Act. Excludes certain wood-fired and biomass-fired boiler facilities, or portions thereof, from the definition of "pollution control facility". Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides that certain sites or facilities used for wood combustion facilities (instead of wood or biomass boiler facilities) for energy recovery that accept and burn only wood material (instead of specified types of wood products and wood material) are not included in the definition of "pollution control facility".

 Fiscal Note, House Amendment No. 1 (Illinois Environmental Protection Agency)
 HB 937 will not have any fiscal impact on the Illinois EPA since the Agency is not involved in the local sitting process.
