Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Provides that in cases relating to allegations of parental or custodial unfitness based upon neglect, dependency, or abuse of the minor, the Department of Children and Family Services, or the agency responsible, must submit a report to the court documenting the services offered and provided to preserve or reunify the family, and substantiating any determination of the success or failure of such services, and the court shall determine if such evidence is clear and convincing that such services will fail.

Adds reference to:
705 ILCS 405/2-28from Ch. 37, par. 802-28

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 relating to abused and neglected minors. Provides that the court shall make findings as to whether any portion of the service plan compels a child or parent to engage in any activity or refrain from any activity that is not reasonably related to remedying a condition or conditions that gave rise or which could give rise to any finding of child abuse or neglect. Provides that if the permanency goal is return home, the court shall make findings that identify any problems that are causing continued placement of the children away from the home and identify what outcomes would be considered a resolution to these problems. Effective immediately.
