Balanced Budget Note, House Amendment No. 1 (H-AM 1)(Office of Management and Budget) | |
The Governor's Office of Management and Budget estimates that this legislation, since effective July 1, 2007, would have no budgetary impact to the Fiscal Year 2007 budget. Fiscal Year 2007 appropriations for the Illinois Gaming Board are $18.7 million from the State Gaming Fund. However, using FY2007 as a model, if enacted into law, in Fiscal Year 2008 this legislation would require additional appropriations estimated between $1.5 million to $2.0 million, which could result in a budget which is not balanced. In addition, the alternative pension formula is more expansive than the current pension formula, so adding additional employees to this formula will have a long term impact on the balanced budget. |
