| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the passing of William Geoffrey "Bill" |
4 |
| Huskisson of Downers Grove, formerly of Hinsdale, on September |
5 |
| 23, 2006; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Huskisson was born on April 22, 1957, in |
7 |
| Canada; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, A graduate of Hinsdale Central High School, where |
9 |
| he was an all-area football and track letter winner, Mr. |
10 |
| Huskisson attended Western Illinois University from 1975 to |
11 |
| 1979; he was a four-year letter winner with the Leatherneck |
12 |
| football team, earning all-conference and all-America honors |
13 |
| as a defensive tackle and was named to the Hall of Fame; he was |
14 |
| also involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and |
15 |
| Campus Crusade; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, A teacher at Hinsdale Central High School for the |
17 |
| past 25 years, Mr. Huskisson had served as head wrestling |
18 |
| coach, assistant football coach, and assistant track coach; in |
19 |
| 1997 he received the Presidential Distinguished Teacher award; |
20 |
| and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, In 1981, Mr. Huskisson earned the Defensive MVP |
22 |
| award from the Chicago Fire football team as an all-pro nose |
23 |
| tackle and was invited to free-agent tryouts with the Chicago |
24 |
| Bears and the Chicago Blitz; in addition, he was a faithful |
25 |
| member of Christ Church in Oak Brook; and
|
26 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of William G. Huskisson has been |
27 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Lynda; his children, |
28 |
| Abigail, Cole, and Brock; his father, Edward (Jan); and other |
29 |
| family members, James, Peter, Robert, and John, Clayton Doty, |
30 |
| Patra Dunn, Dianne Ancona,Cindy Boone, and Grayce Guariniello; |
