| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 |
| learn of the death of Blanche F. Gavigan, of Waukegan, |
4 |
| Illinois, who passed away on August 2, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Blanche Gavigan will be remembered for her |
6 |
| positive attitude and faith; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Blanche Gavigan loved dancing in her younger days; |
8 |
| she loved to laugh and spend time with her family; she loved to |
9 |
| listen to Ron Santo talk about the Chicago Cubs; she loved |
10 |
| playing bingo; but she will be remembered most of all for the |
11 |
| love she had for her family, and how she would tell anyone who |
12 |
| would listen about them; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Blanche Gavigan was a member of St. Anastasia |
14 |
| Parish and the Anastasians; she worked as a Civil Service |
15 |
| Supervisor at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, retiring |
16 |
| after 30 years of service; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, Blanche Gavigan was preceded in death by her |
18 |
| husband, William; her grandson, Thomas Gavigan; her parents, |
19 |
| Harry and Nellie (nee Tiffany) Bristol; her brothers, Lawrence |
20 |
| and Russell Bristol; and her sister, Genevieve Osmond; and |
21 |
| WHEREAS, Blanche Gavigan is survived by her children, |
22 |
| Patrick (Bernadette) Gavigan, Nancy (James) LeMieux, Peggy |
23 |
| (Bob) Asma, Mary Jen (the late Ned) Fisher, and Mike (Kim) |
24 |
| Gavigan; her 20 grandchildren; her 24 great-grandchildren; and |
25 |
| her caregiver, Ule; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
28 |
| Blanche F. Gavigan and extend our sympathies to her family and |
29 |
| friends at this time; and be it further
