| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express |
3 |
| their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Edward |
4 |
| W. Schrimpf of Godfrey, who passed away on November 25, 2006; |
5 |
| and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on August 21, 1923, in Alton, |
7 |
| Illinois, to the late Emil W. and Elsie M. (Scholz) Schrimpf; |
8 |
| he married Marcella Lee Baker on April 8, 1947 in Albany, New |
9 |
| York; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, Edward Schrimpf served in the United States Navy |
11 |
| during World War II; he retired from General Electric as a |
12 |
| mechanical engineer after over 40 years of service; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the Memorial Drive Presbyterian |
14 |
| Church in Houston, Texas, but attended College Avenue |
15 |
| Presbyterian Church when he returned to the Alton area; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, Edward Schrimpf is survived by his two sons and |
17 |
| daughters-in-law, Stephen and Mary Schrimpf and Peter and Robin |
18 |
| Schrimpf; his four grandchildren and three |
19 |
| great-granddaughters; and his two brothers, Robert W. Schrimpf |
20 |
| and Donald F. Schrimpf; and |
21 |
| WHEREAS, Edward Schrimpf was preceded in death by his wife, |
22 |
| Marcella, his parents, Emil and Elsie Schrimpf, and his sister, |
23 |
| Betty Evans; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
26 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Edward Schrimpf; and be |
27 |
| it further
