| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express |
| 3 |
| their condolences to the family and friends of United States |
| 4 |
| Marine Corps Lance Corporal Edwardo Lopez, Jr., who recently |
| 5 |
| died serving his country in Iraq; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Edwardo Lopez, was born on November 28, 1984; his |
| 7 |
| parents are Eduardo and Martha (Alonzo) Lopez; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Edwardo Lopez was a 2003 graduate of East Aurora |
| 9 |
| High School; he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in |
| 10 |
| 2004; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He served nine months in Afghanistan, returned |
| 12 |
| home, and then began his tour of duty in Iraq in the fall of |
| 13 |
| 2006; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Edwardo is preceded in death by his paternal |
| 15 |
| grandparents, Agustin Lopez and Elisa Reyes; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He is survived by his parents; his brother, |
| 17 |
| Alejandro Lopez; his maternal grandparents, Zeferino and Julia |
| 18 |
| Alonzo; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins; therefore, |
| 19 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 22 |
| his family and friends, the death of Edwardo Lopez, Jr.; and be |
| 23 |
| it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to the family of Edwardo Lopez, Jr.
