| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and |
4 |
| friends of former Aurora Alderman Joe Schindlbeck, who passed |
5 |
| away on June 9, 2006; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Aurora, Mr. Schindlbeck |
7 |
| helped preserve local landmarks while spearheading his |
8 |
| community's revitalization; Aurorans can now enjoy the |
9 |
| convenience of the Aurora Transportation Center or festivities |
10 |
| at the Walter Payton Roundhouse Complex, just some of his many |
11 |
| accomplishments; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Schindlbeck served two years as a member of |
13 |
| the Kane County Board and as a member of the Aurora City |
14 |
| Council from 1977 to 1985; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Schindlbeck's work as a member of the City |
16 |
| Council's Finance Committee led to the establishment of the |
17 |
| Aurora Economic Development Commission; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Schindlbeck also enjoyed a forty-five year |
19 |
| career with the Burlington Northern Railroad and retired as a |
20 |
| supervisor; and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Schindlbeck was committed to excellence; he |
22 |
| maintained a high level of integrity and accomplishment and |
23 |
| gave himself fully to his family; he was also a loyal friend to |
24 |
| many; and
|
25 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Schindlbeck leaves behind a great legacy of |
26 |
| faithfulness, service, and dignity; therefore, be it
|
27 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
