| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jacob "Jack" |
| 4 |
| Morcos of Sugar Grove, on Friday, September 1, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on September 24, 1941, in Latakia, |
| 6 |
| Syria, to Nakhle and Afifeh (Afif) Morcos; he was united in |
| 7 |
| marriage for 41 years to Janet (Abdnour) Morcos; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was the founder and president of J.N. Morcos |
| 9 |
| Insurance Agency; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Jacob "Jack" Morcos has been deeply |
| 11 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Janet; his sons, Michael J. |
| 12 |
| (Vicki) Morcos and Stephen E. (Deirdre) Morcos; his |
| 13 |
| grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, and Benjamin Morcos; his |
| 14 |
| brother, Jibrail (Rabab) Morcos, Malek (Linda) Morcos, and Afif |
| 15 |
| (Kim) Morcos; he was preceded in death by his sister, Lena |
| 16 |
| Morcos and his parents; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 |
| Jacob "Jack" Morcos, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
| 20 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 21 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 24 |
| sympathy.
