| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Glenda Stewart on August |
4 |
| 19, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Stewart was born on February 17, 1964, to |
6 |
| Romie Taylor and Merlene Stewart; she came into the world very |
7 |
| early and as a baby fought to just stay alive; she was so small |
8 |
| that she could be held in the palm of one hand; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Old Ship of Zion |
10 |
| Missionary Baptist Church Choir; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, To her family, she was known as the Queen of |
12 |
| Drama; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Glenda Stewart has been deeply felt |
14 |
| by many, especially her husband, John Dotson; her daughter, |
15 |
| Eunique; her stepchildren, Ronnie (Sharon), John Jr., |
16 |
| Stephanie, Rosie, and Angela; her three stepgrandchildren; her |
17 |
| sisters, Betty, Linda, Dorothy, Beverly, Sheila, Kimberly, and |
18 |
| Rhonda; her brothers, Will, Micheal, Terry, Granville, and |
19 |
| Gary; her aunt; and her many uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, |
20 |
| and friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Glenda Stewart, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
24 |
| family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
25 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
28 |
| sympathy.
