| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express |
3 |
| their sincere condolences to the family of Emery Earl Coleman, |
4 |
| who passed away on May 31, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Emery Coleman was born in Philadelphia, |
6 |
| Mississippi, on August 30, 1940; his parents were Roy and Lois |
7 |
| Coleman; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Tilden High School; he later |
9 |
| joined the military and was honorably discharged in 1964; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, He married his wife, Susie Mae, on December 27, |
11 |
| 1958; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, While he was still in school and worked full-time |
13 |
| for the City of Chicago, he still found time to be active in |
14 |
| the community; he was a coach of a little league team for many |
15 |
| years; he served as a precinct captain for the third ward for |
16 |
| eight years; and he was a member of the Masons; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, Emery Coleman is survived by his wife, Susie; his |
18 |
| children, Debra Pullin, Emery Earl Coleman, Jr., and Lisa |
19 |
| Coleman; his grandchildren, Tyler O. Pullin and Emery A. |
20 |
| Coleman; his daughter-in-law, Angelia Coleman; and many |
21 |
| nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
|
22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
24 |
| his family, the passing of Emery Coleman; and be it further
|
25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
26 |
| presented to the family of Emery E. Coleman.
