| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Irene L. Crompton of Herrin |
| 4 |
| on July 21, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on February 22, 1931, in Herrin to |
| 6 |
| George and Rhoda (Evans) King, who preceded her in death; she |
| 7 |
| marred Harry Crompton on February 7, 1950, and he preceded her |
| 8 |
| in death on November 29, 1996; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Crompton was a life member of First United |
| 10 |
| Methodist Church in Herrin, where she taught Sunday school; she |
| 11 |
| was a devoted MYF leader for many years and was an active |
| 12 |
| member of Methodist Sisters; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was a devoted member of Bonnie Camp Board; she |
| 14 |
| worked at Allen Industries and was a respected cake decorator |
| 15 |
| for 18 years; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, A devoted Christian, Mrs. Crompton was loved by |
| 17 |
| all who knew her; her passing has been deeply felt by many, |
| 18 |
| especially her sons, John Crompton and wife, Debbie, Tom |
| 19 |
| Crompton and wife, Serena, Terry Crompton and wife, Terri, |
| 20 |
| Randy Crompton and wife, Gina, and Kevin Crompton and wife, |
| 21 |
| Debbie; her grandchildren, Scott Crompton, Matt Crompton, |
| 22 |
| Callie Wehrman and husband, Steve, Autumn Whitson and husband, |
| 23 |
| Mike, Alex Crompton, Sayer Crompton and wife, Meghan, Brian |
| 24 |
| Crompton and wife, Elisabeth, Ashley Crompton, Kyle Crompton |
| 25 |
| and wife, Jobeth, Seth Crompton, Adam Crompton, Shanna |

| Crompton, Sheena Crompton, Kelsey Crompton, Kaleb Crompton, |
