| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Karl W. Fritze, Jr. of |
4 |
| Metropolis, and formerly of Cobden and Mesa, Arizona, on June |
5 |
| 25, 2006; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Fritze was born on February 11, 1926 in |
7 |
| Cobden, the son of Karl W. Fritze, Sr. and Frankie Condon |
8 |
| Fritze; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Fritze was a veteran and served in the United |
10 |
| States Navy; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Fritze formerly owned a clothing store and dry |
12 |
| cleaning store in Cobden for many years; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Karl W. Fritze, Jr. is deeply felt |
14 |
| by all who knew and loved him, especially his lifelong |
15 |
| companion, Ara Ferrill, and her children, Jackie Blackman and |
16 |
| Bill Ferrill, who knew him as a father; and their children, |
17 |
| Brian Ferrill, Came Boudeman, Angela Berkheimer, Edward |
18 |
| Berkheimer, and Gretchen Childers; seven great-grandchildren; |
19 |
| and his many other relatives and friends; he was preceded in |
20 |
| death by his parents and his brother, Bob Fritze; therefore, be |
21 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Karl W. Fritze, Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences to |
25 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
29 |
| sympathy.
