| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and |
4 |
| friends of Donna Fay Oplet of Belleville who passed away on |
5 |
| Saturday, July 8, 2006; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on July 22, 1938, in Belleville to |
7 |
| Fred and Fay (Durfee) Kiefer; she was united in marriage to |
8 |
| David W. Oplet; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a past Director of Nursing at St. |
10 |
| Elizabeth Hospital; she was one of the founders of Hospice of |
11 |
| Southern Illinois and retired from there after many years of |
12 |
| devoted service; she was a member of St. Henry's Catholic |
13 |
| Church and a charter member of The Jewel Box Ladies Golf Club; |
14 |
| and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Donna Fay Oplet has been deeply |
16 |
| felt by many, especially her daughters, Cheryl Lynn (Al) Wayt |
17 |
| and Kimberly Ann Moore; her grandchildren, Melissa and Robby |
18 |
| Moore and Brandon and Andrew Wayt; special guardian angels, |
19 |
| Roxanne and Charley Rogers; and many friends; she was preceded |
20 |
| in death by her husband, David W. Oplet; her parents; and her |
21 |
| guardians, William and Sylvia C. Engler; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Donna Fay Oplet, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
25 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
29 |
| sympathy.
