| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Robert V. Stevenson Jr. of |
4 |
| Lewistown on Tuesday, June 27, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He born on July 24, 1959, in East Liverpool, Ohio, |
6 |
| to Robert V. Sr. and Janice Stevenson; he was united in |
7 |
| marriage to the former Marcia Giles on June 30, 1979, in |
8 |
| Peoria; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, He served 23 years in the military and was a |
10 |
| Fulton County sheriff's deputy; he was a member and served as |
11 |
| quartermaster for the past 15 years for Lewistown VFW Post 5001 |
12 |
| and was a member of Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1; |
13 |
| and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Robert V. Stevenson Jr. has been |
15 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Marcia; his son, Tony |
16 |
| Stevenson; his daughter, Jessica Stevenson; his stepparents, |
17 |
| Harold and Noreen Hand; his brother, Todd (Jennifer) Hand; his |
18 |
| sister, Melissa (Brian) Despines; and his stepsisters, Heidi |
19 |
| and Heather; he was preceded in death by his mother; therefore, |
20 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Robert V. Stevenson Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences |
24 |
| to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be |
25 |
| it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
28 |
| sympathy.
