| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with sadness of the death of Kay Pruitt of Alton on |
4 |
| June 20, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on December 19, 1948, in Eldred to |
6 |
| Sherman and Rosaella (Vinyard) Kraushaar; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, She was a waitress at Joe K's Restaurant (formerly |
8 |
| Depper's) in Alton for more than nine years; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, |
10 |
| sister, and friend; she spent much of her recent time caring |
11 |
| for her ailing mother and elderly father; she was an avid |
12 |
| animal lover and cared for three dogs of her own; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Kay Pruitt has been deeply felt by |
14 |
| many, especially by her parents, Sherman and Rosaella |
15 |
| Kraushaar; her daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and David |
16 |
| Holtgraewe and Tammy and Robert Hudanick; her son, Jeffrey |
17 |
| Pruitt; her children's father, Robert L. Pruitt; her |
18 |
| grandchildren, Carmen and Drew Holtgraewe; her sisters and her |
19 |
| brother-in-law, Shirley Davidsmeyer, Connie and Joseph Pruitt, |
20 |
| and Bonnie Kinder; her brother, Sherman Kraushaar; and her |
21 |
| significant other, John Hayes; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Kay Pruitt, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
25 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of the resolution be |

| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
