| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with regret of the death of Janet Doreen Turner of |
4 |
| Gurnee on March 30, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on June 4, 1953, in Kingston, |
6 |
| Jamaica, to Cyril and Lucille Bailey; she graduated from Zion |
7 |
| Benton High School and attended the College of Lake County; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, She was employed at Abbott Laboratories for nine |
9 |
| years; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time |
11 |
| with her family and friends; she was always the life of the |
12 |
| party and full of fun and will be missed, always loved, and |
13 |
| never forgotten; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Janet Doreen Turner has been deeply |
15 |
| felt by many, especially her supportive ex-husband, Richard |
16 |
| Turner; her mother, Lucille Bailey; her daughters, Sheree |
17 |
| (Dennis) Dunn, and Doreen, Camille, and Dia Turner; her son, |
18 |
| Kevin Turner; her sisters, Diana (Minister Arthur) Banks and |
19 |
| Arlene (Roger) Brown; her brother, Hubert Bailey; her grandson, |
20 |
| Brandon Farmer; her granddaughters, Brittany and Alexis |
21 |
| Frierson; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and |
22 |
| friends; she was preceded in death by her aunt, Geraldine Lee, |
23 |
| and her father, Cyril Bailey; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
26 |
| Janet Doreen Turner, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
27 |
| her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
