| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of L. C. Calmese on Wednesday, |
4 |
| March 15, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, L. C. Calmese, the son of Lucious Hunter and the |
6 |
| late Lena Mae Calmese, was born in Huspuckena, Mississippi, on |
7 |
| October 19, 1945; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He united with White Plains Baptist Church in |
9 |
| Huspuckena, Mississippi, at the age of nine and was baptized as |
10 |
| a public confession of faith in Christ; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He received his education at Duncan Elementary in |
12 |
| Duncan, Mississippi, and graduated from West Boliva High School |
13 |
| in Rosedale, Mississippi; he was employed with the United |
14 |
| States Postal Service in Oakland, California; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, He met and later married Diana M. Williams in |
16 |
| Oakland, California, on October 7, 1970; this union was blessed |
17 |
| with two sons, Daryl André Calmese and Bryan Delano Calmese; |
18 |
| and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of L. C. Calmese has been deeply felt |
20 |
| by many, especially his wife, Diana M. Calmese; his sons, Daryl |
21 |
| André Calmese and Bryan Delano Calmese; his brother, James L. |
22 |
| Calmese; his sisters, Mattie Hunter and Brenda Hunter; his |
23 |
| cousin, Betty Surft; and his many other relatives and friends; |
24 |
| he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vickie Crump and |
25 |
| Sandra Crump; his brother, Eugene Hall; his mother, Lena Mae |
26 |
| Calmese Crump; and his grandmother, Cora Calmese; therefore, be |
