| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with regret of the death of Robert Francis "RT" Tracy |
4 |
| of Mount Sterling on Sunday, March 26, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on August 8, 1924, in Jerseyville to |
6 |
| Frank and Ellen Elizabeth "Nellie" Massey Tracy; he attended |
7 |
| Jersey County High School and earned a bachelor's degree in |
8 |
| dairy technology from the University of Illinois at |
9 |
| Urbana-Champaign in 1948; he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of |
10 |
| World War II, serving from 1943 to 1945 on the USS General Omar |
11 |
| Bundy; he obtained a private pilot's license in 1948; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, He married Dorothy Curtin in 1949 in Stonington; |
13 |
| he worked for Prairie Farms Dairy as an assistant manager in |
14 |
| Champaign and Henry from 1949 to 1952 and an assistant general |
15 |
| manager and sales manager in Mount Sterling until 1956; he then |
16 |
| served as general manager of Norris Dairy Products in Dallas |
17 |
| before returning to Prairie Farms in Mount Sterling in 1958; he |
18 |
| and his wife founded Associated Dairy Products, later renamed |
19 |
| Dot Foods, Inc., in Mount Sterling in 1960; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Tracy was a member of Holy Family Church in |
21 |
| Mount Sterling, where he served as a trustee; the Mount |
22 |
| Sterling Knights of Columbus; Rolling Greens Golf Club; Mount |
23 |
| Sterling American Legion Post 374; the Beardstown Elks Club; |
24 |
| and the Mount Sterling Rotary Club; and
|
25 |
| WHEREAS, He was named Mount Sterling Chamber of Commerce |
26 |
| Citizen of the Year in 1986 and the Distinguished Citizen of |
27 |
| the Year in 1996 by the Mississippi Valley Council of Boy |
28 |
| Scouts of America; and
|
29 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mr. Tracy has been deeply felt by |
30 |
| many, especially his wife, Dorothy; his sons, Donald (wife, |
