| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the untimely death of Julian G. Spencer |
4 |
| of East St. Louis on January 21, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Spencer was born on September 25, 1981 in |
6 |
| Belleville; and |
7 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Spencer was the owner and chief operator of |
8 |
| Sandy's Bar-B-Que on South 15th Street in East St. Louis; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Spencer was affiliated with the Church of God |
10 |
| in Christ Congregational; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Spencer will be remembered as a great |
12 |
| conversationalist who was frequently the life of a party; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his |
14 |
| grandfather, Robert Spencer; his aunt Barbara Luckett; and an |
15 |
| uncle, Joe Luckett; and |
16 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Spencer is survived by his loving parents, |
17 |
| Larry and Sandress Galloway Spencer; his brothers Larry Jr. |
18 |
| (Jay) and Stanton Spencer; his grandparents George and Jessie |
19 |
| Galloway and Ann Luckett; his aunts and uncles, Cheryl Corley, |
20 |
| Beverly Spencer, Dr. Anthony (Wendolyn) Galloway, and William |
21 |
| Luckett; his great aunts Elward L. May and Norma L. Walls; a |
22 |
| special friend, Shequitta Martin and children Jamaal and Jordon |
23 |
| Martin; and many friends and cousins; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn the |
26 |
| passing of Julian G. Spencer, and we extend our sincere |
27 |
| condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
28 |
