| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, members of the Illinois Senate wish to express |
3 |
| their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Martha |
4 |
| Jane Taylor (Penny), who recently passed away; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Martha Jane Taylor (Penny) was born on August 29, |
6 |
| 1958 to Dezel and Odessie Taylor; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, She was educated through the Chicago school |
8 |
| system; she attended Beethoven Elementary and DuSable High |
9 |
| School; and |
10 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Taylor (Penny) was the proud mother of three |
11 |
| children: Tynesisha, Earl, Jr., and Demetrius; she was the |
12 |
| life-long companion to Earl Cobb, Sr., the father of her |
13 |
| children; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Martha Taylor (Penny) was known as a loving and |
15 |
| giving person; she loved her family dearly and was always the |
16 |
| life of the party; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, She is preceded in death by her brother, Samuel |
18 |
| Johnson; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Martha Jane Taylor (Penny) will be |
20 |
| felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her mother, |
21 |
| Odessie Taylor; her sisters, Cherry Spann (Roger) and Marie |
22 |
| Chairs-Wade (James); her brothers, Leon Taylor, Dezel Taylor |
23 |
| (Maria), John Taylor, Allen Taylor (Sonya), and Dwayne Johnson; |
24 |
| her eight nieces; her eight nephews; her three great-nieces; |
25 |
| her great- nephew; and a host of cousins, relatives, and |
26 |
| friends; therefore, be it
