| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Dolores M. Maloof of Peoria |
4 |
| on February 6, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Maloof was born February 22, 1924, in Decatur |
6 |
| to Robert and Dixie Hubbard McCarty; she was married to |
7 |
| prominent real estate developer Mitchell J. Maloof on June 25, |
8 |
| 1949; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Maloof was a devoted homemaker; she loved to |
10 |
| play golf and was an accomplished bridge player; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, She was an active volunteer at the inception of |
12 |
| St. Jude Hospital and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church |
13 |
| and Mt. Hawley Country Club; she was a sister-in-law and dear |
14 |
| friend to former Peoria mayor James Maloof; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Maloof was preceded in death by her parents, |
16 |
| her husband, and her daughter, Karen Maloof; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Dolores Maloof has been deeply felt |
18 |
| by many, especially her sons, David M. (Sally) Maloof and |
19 |
| Daniel J. (Katie) Maloof; her daughter, Kathy (Dan) Jones; and |
20 |
| her grandchildren, Kara, Joel, Zachary, Alison, Molly, Nicole, |
21 |
| Corinne, Madison, Stephanie, and Cassie Maloof and Matt and |
22 |
| Dena Jones; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
25 |
| Dolores Maloof, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
26 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
27 |
| further
