| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Fred L. Hubbard of Roxana |
4 |
| on December 14, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Fred L. Hubbard was born on January 28, 1949, in |
6 |
| Alton to Wayne and Fay (Stark) Hubbard; he married the former |
7 |
| Nancy A. Hanks on February 14, 1987, in Rosewood Heights; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Hubbard graduated from SIU with a bachelor of |
9 |
| arts in business degree and was a manager of Kienstra Concrete |
10 |
| for 10 years; he was mayor of Roxana for five years and a |
11 |
| member of the Roxana Village Board for 26 years; he was a |
12 |
| member of the Wood River Moose Lodge, Alton Eagles, Riverbend |
13 |
| Growth Association, member and song director of the First |
14 |
| Baptist Church of Roxana, and was a former member of the Black |
15 |
| Knights Drum Corps; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Fred L. Hubbard is felt by all who |
17 |
| knew and loved him, especially his wife, Nancy; his |
18 |
| stepdaughter, Deanne Harrison; his stepson and his wife, Nick |
19 |
| and Kristi Adams; his grandchildren, Steven and Spencer; his |
20 |
| brother and sister-in-law, Charley and Sue Hubbard; and his |
21 |
| niece and nephew, Jim and Kelli Brown, and their children, |
22 |
| Chris, Ashley and Tanner; and
|
23 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin |
24 |
| grandchildren, Hope and Bennett Harrison; his brothers, Donald |
25 |
| and Doug Hubbard; and his sister, Dorothy Hubbard; therefore, |
26 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
29 |
| Fred L. Hubbard and extend our sincerest condolences to his |
30 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
